Please let me know if there is!

				ANSWER:
Don't look like it bro. The SR300F is the only fretless I cold find in the SR series, all other five strings are medium frets.

The Gary Willis signiture is a five string fretless though.

			QUESTION:
ibanez SR300 fretless bass info???
i wanted to get a my first fretless bass. i currently have a dean demonater 4 string electric and a dean playmate 5 string acoustic. i was looking at the ibanez SR300F because of the price and look but my cuzon has an ibanez that wont stop rattling. i was also thnking if i dont get the ibanez i would get the stagg BC300 natural semigloss. i was wondering if anyone had experince with the ibanez or if the stagg is a better buy

				ANSWER:
Hey Mark:

I would definitely consider the Ibanez over the Stagg. I've played the Sr300f numerous times, and it is a well made instrument. You don't say what model of bass your cousin has. You also mention his "rattles". Has he taken the bass in to have it properly set up?? Has he changed gages of strings to where that was the cause of the "rattling"? Is it tuned so low that the strings "rattle" against the fretboard??? Things that I have just mentioned will make a 00.00 custom shop bass rattle.

I would have to say in the long run, the Ibanez would be a better buy. They have a great reputation, plus, the Soundgear basses are hard to beat. While Stagg does make some decent instruments here and there, I don't think they are as good of an instrument as Ibanez, and especially the one your looking at.

By owning 2 basses already, I assume you know how to play. If you feel the action is to low or high for your taste, insist that the store set it up. If it is a store such as Guitar Center, you might be out of luck on that. Suggestion: If you are planning on buying online, check out Sweetwater Music. EVERY guitar they ship out has been examined by one of their techs. If it has arrived to them set up improperly, they will adjust the neck and string height before they ship it out.

Hope this has helped, and good luck. Congrats on going fretless!

			QUESTION:
is it more practical to remove frets from a bass neck or buy replacement fretless neck to put on ibanez?
i am in the market for a fretless bass and one of the salesmen at the music store described how he simply removed the frets off a regular neck and filled the groves with epoxy, sanded smooth, and he likes it. a fretless neck of decent quality will cost well over 150. i will be installing on an ibanez with very fat sounding dual active pickups. have any of you removed frets from a neck and refinished before? was it difficult? are you happy with the results- meaning, does it play as if it came fretless off the assembly line? any input is appreciated!

				ANSWER:
The music store guy lied.
Do not ruin a good bass like that, it will NOT work.
Invest in the new neck.

			QUESTION:
Does ibanez have a fretless bass?
I want a fretless, but i love the way ibanez sounds makes, do they make one? thts in the range up to 0?

If not who do you recomend?

				ANSWER:
Hmmm... Choices look pretty slim in your price range. Musicians Friend has 2 models, A Rouge LX200BF at 9.99, and Squire Jazz Bass for 9.99. Look to spend at least double that for something that you'll be happy with. Remember, as with all things in life, you get what you pay for...
